Temporary and chronic central venous catheters, along with peritoneal catheters, are essential tools to ensure safe and effective access for dialysis patients. These devices are crucial for promptly initiating renal replacement therapy in cases of acute or chronic renal failure.

In the field of hemodialysis, Gada Italia’s Blood & Fluid Management Business Unit offers a complete range of vascular access devices, developed by Mozarc Medical, to ensure safe and effective treatments.

Mahurkar Elite dual-lumen catheter for short-term hemodialysis, apheresis, and infusion is suitable for percutaneous and/or surgical implantation.
Made of radiopaque thermosensitive polyurethane with depth markings for easier insertion, it features a central wall dividing the catheter into two D-shaped lumens that ensure high and balanced blood flow in both venous and arterial lines.
The symmetrical distal tip includes wide laser-cut side slots with smooth edges. The close adherence of the catheter tip to the vessel wall can reduce blood flow and compromise extracorporeal therapy efficiency; the wide laser-cut side slots of Mahurkar™ Elite wrap around the catheter body, providing a greater open area for fluid flow while helping to reduce the risk of vessel wall occlusion.

The Palindrome Precision dual-lumen catheter (14.5 Fr) is indicated for chronic and acute hemodialysis, apheresis, and infusion. It is suitable for percutaneous and/or surgical implantation and made of flexible, thermosensitive Carbothane, fully radiopaque, with an atraumatic distal tip designed to reduce vascular trauma during placement. The central wall divides the cylindrical body into two D-shaped lumens, ensuring high blood flow in both lines. The distal tip features laser-drilled rhomboid side holes on both lumens, ensuring high flow rates and reducing the risk of occlusion. Its unique spiral tip design significantly reduces the risk of proximal occlusions and blood recirculation—keeping it below 5% even with line reversal—thus maintaining optimal flow throughout product use. An additional feature is the tungsten marker band near the symmetric tip, facilitating tip visualization under X-ray.

Argyle™ Fistula Cannula with Anti-Reflux Valve. The Argyle™ safety cannulas with anti-reflux valve consist of a stainless-steel puncture needle and a polypropylene cannula. They include an integrated Luer-activated anti-reflux valve that prevents backflow of blood and a safety cap that covers the tip once the needle is removed. Each device comes with a V-plug hemostatic valve that can also be used to control blood reflux during insertion. A wide range of diameters, lengths, and features is available.
